God’s Hand at Work in the Midst of a Pandemic

With all of the chaos and uncertainty in the news with the COVID 19 pandemic, here at Cornerstone World Missions we have been encouraged to see God’s hand at work. Learn more about how God is at work in India below.

God’s Hand At Work In India

Imagine being unable to feed your family… for a day… for a week… or even a month… with no foreseeable end in sight.

Sadly, that is the current reality for many day laborers and their families in India, even families we know personally. With local cases of COVID-19 increasing daily, countries have responded with strict lockdowns forcing many of their already impoverished citizens into unemployment. Our brothers and sisters in Christ, along with many others in India, lack access to basic food and other necessities such as toiletries and soap.

Though many are out of work in India, God is not.

Through your generous support and the work of CWM, God has enabled us to:

• Distribute food for about 1,500 people each week in CWM’s area of ministry, including church members and many Hindus and Muslims who were formerly hostile towards the church
• Supply a week’s worth of food to 65 Christian families who lost their homes when their village burned to the ground
• Deliver meals to tribal and regional area pastors in need

Tangible Needs, Spiritual Impact

God is not just filling hungry bellies, however. He is opening doors for the gospel to be experienced in word and deed by hundreds of Hindus and Muslims who may never have heard it otherwise. We are in awe of God’s abundant provision in this time of crisis and we believe that he will continue to do even more than we can ask or imagine because of his great love for the people of India.

Pray, or Be an Answer to Prayer

We are praying that the Lord would supply an additional $2,700 per week so that weekly food distributions can not only continue, but also be increased to include rice, a dietary staple. This can only happen through your fervent prayers and generous giving. Please pray that God would provide for the people of India and that many hearts would be changed by God’s gracious provision and the proclamation of the gospel.
